Vijaya Bank Clerical exam pattern, papers Books

his blog post is written in sequel to my previous article: Vijaya Bank Probationary Clerk Job Notification, Eligibility & Forms which tells you how to apply for the exam. The focus of the blog post is on how to prepare for the Vijaya Bank clerical exam: It at first tells you what is the selection process/exam pattern of the exam and than goes on to give you the sources where you can find the online sample papers/mock test for Vijaya Bank clerical exam.

Selection process of Vijaya Bank Clerical exam:
Vijaya Bank clerical exam selection process consists of two stages:
1.0 Written test: Consists of an Objective (260 marks) & a Descriptive Test (100 marks) .
2.0 Interview - (75 marks).
The descriptive test is only qualifying in nature (i.e. marks you score in the descriptive test is not considered for merit list). Thus, total marks based on which the merit ranking would be decided is 335 marks (260+75 marks).

The complete selection process of Vijaya Bank, along with section-wise mark distribution is given in following table:
Vijaya Bank Clerical Exam Cut-Off Marks
As you can see above, in each of the Vijaya Bank selection stages (Objective test, Descriptive Test & Interview), you have to score minimum 40% marks (35% marks for SC/ST) - i.e. you have to score - 104, 40 & 30 marks (91, 35 & 26 marks for SC/ST) in Objective test, Descriptive Test & Interview respectively. These are just minimum cut-off marks and scoring them does not makes you get the Vijaya Bank job. At the end, you have to be on top 500 positions!

For the Objective Test, the minimum marks you have to score in each section is 30% (25% for SC/ST) and in over all 40% (35% for SC/ST). How many questions in each section you have to get correct to get this Vijaya Ban cut-off mark? Following table gives you the idea:
Vijaya Bank Clerical Exam Written Test Pattern
You thus have to get atleast 15 questions (13 for SC/ST) out of 50 correct in each of the four Objective test sections - also in over all, you have to score the minimum cut-off marks as shown above.

Whether there would be negative marking for the wrong answers in these Objective tests has not been specified in the Vijaya Bank job notification, but it is better to be careful!
