Canara Bank PO Exam 2009

Canara Bank is conducting recruitment process for all the candidates who aspire to work with the prestigious banks of the country. The bank invites applications for the post of Probationary officer from all the interested one. The post will be offered on the basis of the result obtained by thecandidates in the entrance test and there is no other means of getting recruited for the same.

Eligibility criteria:
For Post Code-1: Probationary Clerks and Post Code-2: Probationary Officers [JMGS-I]:

  • Candidates must have cleared 10+2 level with at least 60 % aggregate to be eligible for this course.
  • Candidate must have done any of these General Banking, house keeping or any other work assigned by the Bank from time to time.
For Post Code-3: Investment Officers [on Contract]:
  • Candidate must have completed their graduation with at least 60 % aggregate from the recognized University to be eligible for this course.
  • Candidate must have completed any of these Marketing the Insurance, Mutual Fund and other products of the Bank.

For Probationary Officers [Post Code?2] & Specialist Officers:
  • Commencement of on line registration: December 31, 2009.
  • Last date for submission of application forms along with DD: January 31, 2009.
  • Date of Written Entrance Examination: March 15, 2009.
Probationary Clerks [Post Code ? 1]:
  • Commencement of on line registration: December 31, 2009.
  • Last date for submission of application forms along with DD: February 7, 2009.
  • Date of Written Entrance Examination: March 29, 2009.
Investment Officer [On Contract] [Post Code-3]:
  • Commencement of on line registration: December 31, 2009.
  • Last date for submission of application forms along with DD: February 16, 2009.
Selection Criteria:
  • All the candidates have to appear in the written test which would be conducted by the bank.
  • The candidates will be short-listed on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the Entrance Test.
  • The short-listed students will be then called for interview.
  • The final selection list will be declared after the commencement of the interview completes.
Examination Pattern:
  • The questions in the examination will be of Multiple Choice Type (MCQ)
  • The questions in the examination will cover:
  1. Test of Reasoning
  2. Numerical Ability
  3. Clerical Aptitude
  4. English
