Indian Age limit for Bank jobs in India

The recent question was about the Age limit for bank jobs in India.

To join any bank in India and to make it for the written exam, one of the eligibility criteria posted by all banks is the Age Limit. All Public Sector banks and Private sector banks follow certain kind of criteria for the selection process and it differs.

The maximum age for the post of clerks would be 28 yrs,as per job applications of most banks.Similarly the average age of Officers/POs should not be more than 30 yrs.Incase of SC/ST candidates, the age limit would be relaxable up to 5 years & 3 yrs for OBC.These are the procedures followed by public sector banks. But,the deciding authority and the final decision rests with the banking exam co-coordinator or those whose frame the criteria for bank exams.

There is no specific rule followed for the average age limit for bank jobs in India,as of now. But,most banks stick to the above age limits during recruitment. If you have vast experience in the banking field (or) Exceptionally talented (or) Highly qualified (or) any special reasons which the bank may think to be fit, then the chances of making it to the top post at a younger age is possible.
