State Bank of India (SBI) is hiring 11,000 Bank Clerks. The Date of written exam for the recruitment of Clerical Cadre posts in State Bank of India is 8th & 15th November 2009 (Sundays).

Here a 5 things you need to know about the SBI Clerk Exam and SBI Clerk Selection Process:

1. The State Bank of India (SBI) Clerk recruitment is through a Written Test & Interview

2. The State Bank of India (SBI) Clerk recruitment written test has 5 sections: The SBI Written Test has the following sections - (a)General Awareness (b)General English (c)Quantitative Aptitude (d)Reasoning Ability & (e) Marketing Aptitude/Computer knowledge.

3. Passing Marks and Cut off marks for SBI Clerical Exam for recruitment of SBI Clerks in each test will be decided by State bank of India on the basis of the performance of all the candidates. The candidates have to score minimum 40% aggregate to become eligible for Interview for Clerks in SBI.

4. The SBi Clerical Entrance Exam paper will have negative mark. Negative Marks for each wrong answer. This means that 1/4 th mark will be reduced for each wrong answer.

5. As there are 11,000 Vacancies in SBI for Clerks, it is expected that approximately 33,000 candidates can be called for Interview for final selection as a Clerk in SBI.
