State Bank of India Probationary officers Exam .
This examination is held every year by the Central Recruitment Board, State Bank Group, generally in the month of February. Blank application forms and other particulars are published in the Employment News in the month of September of the previous year. These can also be obtained from the Bright Careers Institute, 1525, Nai Sarak, Delhi- 110006 by remitting Rs. 5.00 by Money Order or by cash payment of Rs. 2.00 at the counter of Institute's showroom. The last date for submission of applications is generally second week of April.
2. Educational Qualifications: Degree from a recognised University or any equivalent examination recognised as such by the Government of India.
3. Number of Chances: No candidate is permitted to compete more than three times at the examination. This restriction will not apply in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC communities provided that they are otherwise eligible.
4. Age: A candidate for this examination should have attained the age of21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January of the year of examination. The age is relaxable for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, etc.
5. Plan of the Examination: The subjects of written test, the time allowed and the maximum marks allowed to each subject shall be as under:

N.B.: (i) The candidate has to pass each of the Objective and Descriptive Tests separately.
(ii) However, the tests of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness is considered for merit listing. The other tests of English Language and Descriptive Questions will be qualifying.
(iii)Candidates, who pass in each tests and rank sufficiently high on the basis of aggregate marks in written tests, would be called for interview. Final selection made is on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in the written tests and interview and shall be strictly according to merit.
